I know, I know! It’s been quite a while. Sometimes I get so caught up in determining what it will take for my greatness to shine that I forget to actually just go out and make it happen! Have you ever felt that way? If so, this post is JUST for you! Several months ago I thought it would be a fantastic idea to take one month to fervently promote my gift of cooking via this blog. I mean, that’s why I paid out the ass for this site anyway, right? The trick is: I want you to promote your gifts too!
Here’s how it works:
Each week do something that promotes your gifts and talents. If you have a blog, post to it. If you enjoy designing clothes, sketch one or more designs per week and post them on your wall or in your portfolio to remember what you’re passionate about. Maybe your passion is helping other people. Do something nice for someone who can’t give you anything in return. I’ll be posting delicious recipes to this blog each week beginning May 1. Not only will I be encouraging myself to reach my goals, but hopefully encouraging someone else.
How can you join the challenge?
Beginning May 1, 2014 post your goal to the Love, Greer Facebook page.
One time per week, come back to the Love, Greer Facebook page and tell us how you’ve accomplished your goal for the week.
I look forward to seeing you reach your greatness. Let’s go!!
I’m really not a fan of chocolate other than a good piece of chocolate candy or maybe the occasional glass of chocolate milk… or a really good chocolate chip cookie… or… never mind! (Lol) Anyway, my cousin asked me to bake cupcakes for her 30th birthday. For some reason I had an urge to bake chocolate cupcakes! I remembered that a few years ago I made chocolate cupcakes for her and her family, but I hadn’t really intended on using the same recipe. So what did I do? A quick Google search for “The best chocolate cupcake”! I wanted to make something chocolaty and moist (I hate dry cupcakes and cakes), yet light and airy. To my surprise, I found a great recipe over at The Cupcake Project! It was a beautiful surprise actually, because a couple years ago I found my FAVORITE vanilla cupcake recipe on the same site! Hit the flip to get this amazing chocolate cupcake recipe!
Purple Basil sitting in water. It smells so delicious and I can’t wait to use it!
In case you didn’t know, the Farmer’s Market is like a huge playground for a foodie! There are so many cool foods – some that you may have never heard of – and they’re all right at your fingertips. I totally forgot to bring my camera out of the house, but I managed to snap some photos for you guys once I got home! Although most of the items I purchased are basic, some of them have a twist! Hit the flip and check it out!
I know I haven’t posted in a long while, but I thought that this is a great time to get back to it! Over the past several months I’ve completed a few personal goals! In March I signed the lease to my very own apartment and by the beginning of May I (drum roll) FINALLY got my license! There’s a great freedom that comes with having your own and doing for yourself. There’s also a great freedom that comes with knowing that you can do ANYTHING! In continuing with my personal goals, I’ve decided to get back on the healthy track. I’m going to get fit and healthy and stay fit and healthy! Continue reading »
Have you ever used ground chicken instead of ground beef? I tried it a few years ago and fell in love! You can use it for anything: spaghetti with meat sauce, meatballs, and even a really good cheeseburger! Sometimes I use it for a salisbury steak effect. In those cases, I season the ground chicken, form it into patties and fry them up; but the truth is, sometimes they can get a tad dry. I hate dry food. Like… hate… in the deepest sense of the word. So, this time I decided to add a few moistening agents that would ensure, not just a delicious chicken burger, but a juicy one too! Continue reading »
I have a confession to make. I’m a carb junkie and I’ve been eating too many fried foods as of late *hangs head in shame*. Have you ever eaten too many salty, fatty foods and been unable to get the taste out of your mouth? No? Just me? Well, anyway, with all of the french fries and pizza, I’ve been working my way toward a delicious and healthy salad. Tonight, it happened! And I have the steak to prove it! Continue reading »
