Garlic, brown sugar and seasonings mixed

Ingredients

1/2 c soy sauce

3 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 dash red pepper flakes

1 – 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1/4 c red wine (or a splash of water, if no red wine is available)*

Combine ingredients, stirring thoroughly. Place the steak into a zip lock bag and pour marinade into the bag. Make sure that the marinade has touched every part of the steak, then place into the refrigerator! Allow the steak to soak up all that wonderful goodness for about 1 hour, prior to cooking. Follow your usual steak cooking method and enjoy!

It was so tender and delicious! And I cooked it in the broiler! :)

Love,

Greer

*Red wine is great for tenderizing meat but if you don’t have any on hand, a splash of water will do! Why only a splash? Because you don’t want to drown the flavors of your marinade or make your steak tough!
